Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that the firm has been selected as a Yale Law Women’s Top Ten Firm for Gender Equity for 2019.

Yale Law Women monitors trends in gender equity and family friendliness among law firms, raises awareness of disparities within the legal profession, highlights progress being made in the industry, and identifies areas for improvement. The award is based on data collected by Yale Law Women on family accommodations and parental leave, as well as indicators of gender equity such as partnership promotions and composition of leadership committees.

“Winning a spot in the Yale Law Women Top Ten for Gender Equality is an important milestone for the firm,” Leslie Richards-Yellen, Hogan Lovells’ Director of Inclusion – Americas said. “The legal profession has been at the forefront of making gender equality a reality, and although we recognize that there is much work still to do we are proud of the progress we have made at Hogan Lovells.”

The award, which is in its fourteenth year, recognizes firms that have demonstrated superior performance in specific categories that Yale Law considers particularly important.

Hogan Lovells scored massively in three categories:

  • At least 25 per cent of equity partners are women
  • At least half of lawyers promoted to equity partner in 2018 were women
  • The highest percentage of attorneys who worked part-time schedules in the last five years promoted to equity partner in 2018.
