Ekiti State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Foluso Daramola has announced the prohibition of the use of sporting fields across the State’s public schools during the week. The Commissioner made this known during a chat with Journalists in his office in Ado-Ekiti.

According to him, the ban became imperative to reduce distractions and allow students to learn effectively during academic hours. The Commissioner warned individuals not to erect canopies on public schools fields across the state until closing hours on Friday.

Mr Daramola disclosed that the fields can only be used for social engagements on Saturdays and Sundays, adding that violators will be sanctioned in accordance with the law.

The Commissioner, however, reassured the public that Government will continue to provide necessary interventions and investments in the state’s education sector.
