5.6 Billion Litres of PMS Imported into Nigeria in Q2 2019 – NBS

Nigeria imported 5.6 Billion Litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) into the country in the second quarter of this year.

The NBS disclosed this in its “Petroleum Products Imports and Consumption (Truck Out) Statistics’’ report released in Abuja yesterday.

According to the NBS report, 1.38 billion litres of automotive gas oil (AGO), 12.22 million litres of Household Kerosene (HHK) were also imported in the second quarter.

The report said that 131.36 mln litres of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) were also imported into the country in the period under review.

Also, 77.24 million litres of base oil, 41.79 mln litres of bitumen, 27.68 mln litres of low pour fuel oil (LPFO) and 354.70 million litres of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) were imported into the country in Q2 2019.

State-wide distribution of truck-out volume for Q2 2019 showed that 5.18 bln of premium motor spirit (PMS), 1.28 billion litres of automotive gas oil (AGO), 131.42 mln litres of household kerosene (HHK), 176.14 million litres of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) and 157.29 mln of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) were distributed nationwide during the period under review.
