Nigerian Banks Place 4,752 Adverts on Radio in one month – Report

A survey carried out by a reputable Public Relations (PR) measurement firm in Nigeria, P+ Measurement, has disclosed that a total of 4,752 adverts were placed on the radio by banks operating in the country in the month of August 2019.

In the infographics made available to Brand Spur, the firm said these advertisements by the banks on radio cost the sum of N30.2 million and were prominently featured on Wazobia FM, Classic FM and Smooth FM, all in Lagos.

In the period under review, these financial institutions also placed 2,585 adverts on various television stations worth N227.5 million and were aired mostly on Ebony Life TV, CNN, Big Brother and DStv.

For the print segment of the media, a total of 485 adverts were placed by the banks last month and this cost the lenders the sum of N286.4 million. The preferred platforms for the adverts, according to the infographic, were ThisDay, BusinessDay and Vanguard.

In all, a total of 7,822 adverts worth N544.1 million were placed by the banks in August 2019.
