While commending the efforts of the Society for Family Health for its active promotion of better health for all over the years, Akanle said he was particularly elated for the recognition given to Lagos Traffic Radio by SFH through its decision to collaborate with the station in promoting health issues.

Earlier, SFH Project Director for Adolescent 360, Hajia Fatimah Mohammed said the organisation has been in Nigeria for more than 37 years and is regarded as a reputable non-governmental organisation in the world.

Mohammed said the aim of the visit was to solicit for the cooperation of the Lagos Traffic Radio to reach out and bring to the fore adolescent health issues, adding that SFH had also on several occasions worked with the Lagos State Government on various health-related programmes.

She said SFH is now in 18 states in Nigeria and actively supporting various governments in ensuring that the basic health programme works for all, especially teenagers.
