The Ambassador of China, Dr Zhou Pingjian today paid a courtesy call to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba state Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku who was ably represented by his Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Taraba state, Engr. Haruna Manu at his office in Jalingo.
The purpose of the visit to the state is to collaborate with the government in building infrastructure within the state and also interact with the Chinese community in the state in preparation for the Lunar new year celebration.
The deputy governor in his remarks assured the Ambassador of the state government’s readiness in any collaboration that will bring positive development within the state and the nation at large.
He also urged the Chinese Ambassador to help the state government in marketing the made in Taraba products in his country particularly the HIGHLAND TEA which is a worldwide standard product and by doing that the state government’s internally generated revenue will increase and Nigeria as the whole.
Those in attendance includes the SSG Hon. Anthony Jellason, the head of Taraba state civil service, Permanent secretaries, Commissioners and others.
