The Nigerian bourse today (Thursday) closed positively, with a gain of 0.19%, sustaining the previous winning streak to five consecutive trading days, following value appreciation on some bellwether stocks like MTNN, GUARANTY, ZENITHBANK, and 17 others.
Consequently, the market breadth closed on a positive note, recording 20 gainers as against 10 losers.
In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 48.30 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.19% to close at 24,930.34 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N25.20 billion, representing an increase of 0.19% to close at N13.01 trillion
SEPLAT emerged as the top gainers while UBN emerged as the top loser.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; SEPLAT (+9.03%), GUINNESS (+3.85%), UBA (+2.38%), ZENITHBANK (+1.21%), ETI (+1.19%), GUARANTY (+0.64%) and MTNN (+0.42%).

Overnight(O/N) rate closed at 8.64%, representing a 0.69% depreciation against the previous day’s closing position, while Open Buy-Back (OBB) rate closed at 8.00%, representing a 0.50% depreciation against the previous day’s position.
