Benue, Abia & Cross River Residents Paid Highest Petrol Price in June – NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said that residents of Benue, Abia And Cross River paid the highest average price for the purchase of petrol in the month of June.

According to the bureau, the average price paid by consumers for premium motor spirit (petrol) increased by 28.49% year-on-year and decreased month-on-month by -1.46% to N165.61 in June 2021 from N168.06 in May 2021.

The bureau announced this in its “National Price Watch for Cooking Gas, Diesel, Kerosene and Petrol’’ released on Friday in Abuja.

According to the report, states with the highest average price of premium motor spirit (petrol) were:

  • Benue – N183.29
  • Abia – N171.88
  • Cross River – N170.50

  • Taraba – N157.33
  • Borno – N160.10
  • Katsina – N160.86
