Brandcom Awards 2021 Holds Friday Nov 19

Brand Communicator, Nigeria’s most consistent brand and marketing communications magazine is set to host the 2021 Brandcom Awards on Friday, 19th November at the D’Podium Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos at 5 pm.

According to the organisers, the award in its third edition promises to be unforgettable as the stage is set to celebrate and honour brands, agencies, and notable individuals in the brands and marketing industry who are going the extra mile making impact in the industry.

The award is also designed to be the most credible and prestigious platform recognising, rewarding, and inspiring players in the marketing and communications industry in Nigeria.

According to Joshua Ajayi, convener of Brandcom Awards and publisher of Brand Communicator, those who will be unveiled as winners at the award have immensely contributed to the growth of the industry and truly deserve the award.

“Despite COVID-19, we were able to celebrate brands, agencies, and individuals at our last year’s award. Some notable players were able to innovate despite the times. This year despite the challenging and changing times this year some players continue to be outstanding and make an impact in the industry.

“We are also celebrating the giant stride at our award this year based on our mantra of Prestige, Integrity, and Credibility. The awardees were painstakingly assessed by a panel of assessors who judged based on our mantra. To date, Brandcom Awards is adjusted by industry players as a credible award platform amidst the falling integrity of some awards in recent times. We boldly say our awards remain credible and we won’t rest on our oars”

Recall, last year, three distinguishing individuals were inducted into the prestigious Hall of fame of Brandcom Awards for their enormous contributions to the development of the integrated marketing communication industry through their various subsectors. The trio inducted are Enyi Odigbo, Chairman, Casers Group; Nn’Emeka Maduegbuna, Chairman of C&F Porter Novelli and Dozie Mbanefo, Managing Director of New Crystal Communications Limited.

At the maiden edition of the awards held last year, the doyen of advertising in Nigeria and Chairman, Troyka Holdings, Biodun Shobanjo was also honoured with the prestigious ‘Hall of Fame’ recognition, the biggest honour for the night for his many contributions to the growth of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) industry in the country and Africa as a whole.

The organisers of Brandcom Awards also revealed that a day before the awards, it would be hosting its annual thought leadership session tagged “Brandcomfest” scheduled to hold Thursday, 18th November at the D’Podium Event Center, Ikeja, Lagos starting 9am.

The event is free, but interested participants are required to register at https://www.brandcomfest.brandcom.ng/

Interestingly, prominent industry leaders are billed to speak on “Dissecting the Prism of brand building in a volatile economy”, which is the theme of this year’s event. Some will also be speaking on various sub-themes under the following segments; Fintech, Sustainability, Insurance Marketing, SME Brand Masterclass, FMCG, Industry Standard of Practice, PR and among others.

Brandcomfest is designed to be the largest gathering of stakeholders in the brand and marketing communications landscape.

The annual event caters to the most contemporary and topical issues in the industry, as the foremost thought-leadership platform for stakeholders within the brands and marketing communications value chain.

Brand Communicator is Nigeria’s most consistent brand and marketing communications magazine. It is also the organiser of Women in Marketing and Communications Conference/Awards (WIMCA), the largest gathering of female marketing and communications professionals in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
