When forwarding a voice message, you cannot speed up the audio because the playback speed button is not available.
The company is now working on bringing the same feature to forwarded voice messages.
Meta’s instant messaging platform WhatsApp released in May the ability to change the playback speeds of voice messages.
According to a WABetaInfo report, when audio is redirected, playback cannot be accelerated because the speed button is not available.
The feature was outlined in a recent beta version of WhatsApp for iOS, but it is currently in development and will definitely come in future WhatsApp betas for Android as well.
WhatsApp is also developing new apps for Windows users and macOS. It is said to be an application based on the Universal Windows Platform developed from scratch.
The app will include a drawing feature which will be especially useful for devices with touch screens.
