Mr. Chinedu Ikwudinma has been promoted to Group Executive and Group Chief Risk Officer at Ecobank Group, the leading pan-African banking group (GCRO). Chinedu takes over for Eric Odhiambo, who has been promoted to Group Executive, Corporate & Investment Banking.

Chinedu had been the Ecobank Group Chief Credit Officer since June 2019, prior to his appointment as GCRO.

Since joining Ecobank in 2019, he has brought with him extensive credit analysis and structuring knowledge, as well as a broad understanding of risk management. We are delighted to be able to appoint senior executives.

 

Chinedu Ikwudinma was the Managing Director of Nova Merchant Bank in Nigeria from September 2017 to August 2018, prior to joining the Ecobank Group.

 

He also worked for Citigroup for over 26 years in various senior management roles in Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Risk Management. He has also served as the Managing Director of Citibank Uganda and the Head of Corporate Banking for Citibank Zambia.

 

As a Senior Credit Officer, he is a risk management specialist with extensive training and experience. He has covered the entire risk management function, including Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Trade Finance, Derivatives Structures, Working Capital, and Basic Financing and Banking Products. For the past 25 years, he has provided risk management and credit approvals.
