While devices such as the Amazon Fire Stick and Roku remain popular around the world, there is no doubt that Android TV is gaining traction. There are already a plethora of gadgets and smart TVs that incorporate Google’s operating system designed for large screens.

The latest statements by a representative of the Mountain View behemoth to the 9to5Google website, which revealed that Android TV currently has more than 110 million active users, are proof of this.

These are intriguing figures, especially given that the company confirmed the 80 million mark in May of last year.

Chromecast and TCL Smart TV have contributed significantly to the growth of Android TV.
According to the latest report’s data, the two products that contributed the most to this growth were Chromecast with Google TV and the various models of TCL Smart TV devices that also include the company’s operating system.

Given the significant improvements that Android TV has received in recent years, it is expected that these numbers will continue to grow at a rapid pace, particularly since Google announced the arrival of Android TV 12 last month.

However, we are still waiting for details on new features and possible release dates.
