Npower: Minister Warns Of Fraudulent Investment Scheme

Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, has warned against a fraudulent investment scheme trending on social media.

According to Brandspur Nigeria, some unscrupulous individuals have been disseminating a fraudulent Cash Wealth Investment Programme, in which the public is asked to pay certain amounts of cash in exchange for high returns on investment.

Sadiya, in a statement released by NASIMS, warned that the ministry does not run such deceptive schemes and advised the public to disregard such programs.

“The attention of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, has been drawn to a fraudulent Cash Wealth Investment Programme asking the public to pay certain amounts of cash and receive bumper Returns on Investment,” according to the statement.

“This is to inform the public that the Ministry does not run such deceptive programs and that they should be ignored.” The general public is advised to always double-check similar posts from official channels. Please take note, members of the public.”

Meanwhile, payment issues involving Npower beneficiaries’ stipends from September to October have been resolved, and beneficiaries have begun to receive their pay.
