Kraft Heinz Has Appointed Andre Maciel As Executive Vice President And Global CFO

The Kraft Heinz Company has named Andre Maciel as executive vice president and global CFO, effective March 2, 2022.

As part of the company’s leadership review, Maciel, who is currently Kraft’s US CFO and head of digital transformation, will succeed Paulo Basilio. Basilio, who has been with Kraft since 2013, serving as CFO and president of the US Zone, will remain on the company’s board of directors as a strategic advisor until August 2022.

“It has been an honor to work with Paulo since 2019,” said Miguel Patricio, CEO of Kraft Heinz. “I look back over these years in awe at everything that the company has accomplished.” Paulo has been a vital component of our success.

He carried out an aggressive acquisitions and divestitures strategy, as well as a debt reduction plan. He was instrumental in the creation of the company’s five-year strategic plan. He oversaw our return to sustained organic net sales and profit growth, as well as the improvement of our internal controls. I could go on forever.”

“One of Paulo’s greatest accomplishments was in developing key talent within the finance team, including Andre Maciel, the individual I chose to be his successor,” he continued. Andre is a trusted leader due to his background in business and finance. His most recent work on digital transformation lays the groundwork for our organization’s future. I look forward to working with him to build on our momentum and maintain our focus on long-term profitable growth.”

Yang Xu will also be promoted to senior vice president and global head of corporate development. Xu, who is currently the global head of treasury and M&A (mergers and acquisitions), will take on the new position on March 2, 2022.
