Rianol Energy, a Lagos-based renewable energy company, has purchased 600 hectares of land in Kwara for feedstock production. The company intends to produce 40 tonnes of feedstock per day and 5000 litres of ethanol per day.

According to the company, it will go a long way toward assisting Nigeria in meeting its clean energy mandate.

Mr Mark Obisesan, CEO of the company, stated that “from the beginning, our vision has always been to change how households in Nigeria generate and use energy.” Families can generate cheaper and safer energy with ethanol.”

Mr. Obisesan commented on the new acquisition’s potential and impact, saying, “this is a game changer not just for us as a company but for the community where we will be growing the feedstock.” We intend to hire approximately 1000 farmers and low-skilled workers across the production value chain.”

Mr Obisesan also discusses his company’s motivations and why he continues to take the risk of redefining the energy industry. “Aside from pollution and environmental hazards, I want to create a safe environment in which people can use clean energy in their homes without fear of being killed in an accident.” More importantly, times are tough, and the cost of energy for many households is skyrocketing.

Meanwhile, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has expressed confidence that Nigeria will overcome its current challenges. Osinbajo stated this on Saturday, October 9 during an interactive session with top officials of Nigeria’s High Commission in the United Kingdom, which was held at the High Commissioner’s Abuja House residence in London. He stated that citizens at home and abroad should promote the message of one country, noting that the country is stronger as a whole.
