Green Africa And Leadway Assurance Sign New Investment Agreement

Green Africa has signed a new investment contract with Leadway Assurance Company Limited, just as the airline announced that plans to expand its fleet size and scale operations in the region have advanced to an advanced stage.

Green Africa’s Brand Marketing Specialist, Oyindamola Fashogbon, said in a statement that since the airline began scheduled flight services in August last year, it has connected over 150,000 customers across eight airport stations in Nigeria while also delivering on the promise of offering the best air travel fares in the market.

According to the statement, this has positioned the new carrier among the top three airlines in the country within a short period of time since operations began.

According to the statement, Green Africa’s Founder, Babawande Afolabi, expressed delight at the new deal with the Leadway Assurance Company, which he described as significant.

“This is especially significant given the aviation industry’s overall track record as a destination for local professional private capital in the country.” We are excited to collaborate with Leadway not only to build Green Africa, but also to positively change the industry narrative for all stakeholders,” he said.

While commenting on the investment, Tunde Hassan-Odukale, Managing Director, Leadway Assurance, said it was refreshing to see Green Africa gradually stabilising and building a strong operational track record since entering service about six months ago.

He stated that the company is looking forward to assisting the new carrier as it enters the next phase of its journey to change the region’s air travel landscape.
