Swift Appoints Stephen Grainger As Chief Executive

Swift has named Stephen Grainger as its new Chief Executive for the Americas and UK Region.

Grainger was most recently Executive Vice President at Mastercard, where he oversaw the development and commercialization of the company’s global Cross-Border Services business, which serves banks, digital platforms, and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs).

Grainger will lead the region’s overall direction and growth, focusing on further developing strategic customer relationships, assisting customers as they work to transform the cross-border payment experience for their end clients, and collaborating with securities players to improve the efficiency of post-trade processing.

Grainger brings two decades of global banking industry experience as well as an insightful perspective into the Swift business, having previously served in senior positions.
