Ace Nigerian producer and director, Kunle Afolayan’s Anikulapo has won the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award in the ‘Best Overall’ movie.
Anikulapo ward off competitions from the likes of Funke Akindele’s Battle on buka street, Jade Osiberu’s Brotherhood, Femi Adebayor’s King of Thieves, Four Four Forty Four, Ile owo and Tembele
The producer, Kunle Afolayan appreciated the win and thanked his mentor, Tunde Kelani, popularly known as Mainframe.
In his words, Kunle Afolayan said “I wanna say a big thank to the cast and crew Kumle Remi and co, to MNET, and the AMVCA, we promise to come back next year”
The 2023 AMVCA was held at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
