NAUS Sends Warm Eid-el-Kabir Wishes To Nigerian Students

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NAUS) sends warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Nigerian students on this year’s occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

In a statement by NAUS Deputy Senate President, Com. Alade Abayomi Oldman, the student body emphasized the significance of the celebration and appealed to Nigerian students “to demonstrate the good virtues of Islam that preached joy, blessings, and an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of unity and love.

The statement reads thus, “on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NAUS), we would like to extend our heartfelt Eid-el-Kabir greetings and well wishes to every one of you. As we come together to celebrate this auspicious occasion, we hope that it brings you joy, blessings, and an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of unity and love within our diverse student community.

“Eid-el-Kabir, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, holds great significance in the Islamic faith. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. It is a time of reflection, gratitude, and compassion for our fellow human beings.

“During this festive season, let us remember the values of sacrifice, kindness, and empathy that are at the core of Eid-el-Kabir. It is a time to embrace the spirit of giving, sharing, and supporting one another, irrespective of our backgrounds or beliefs. Let us uphold the principles of unity, understanding, and tolerance, fostering a harmonious and inclusive environment within our student community.

“We understand that the past year has been challenging for all of us, with the impact of the global pandemic affecting our educational pursuits and daily lives. However, we believe that our resilience, determination, and collective support will guide us through these trying times. As Nigerian students, we have the strength to overcome obstacles and strive for academic excellence while also caring for our mental well-being and supporting one another’s aspirations.

“As you celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, may your homes be filled with laughter, your hearts with gratitude, and your minds with hope for a brighter future. May you find peace, success, and fulfillment in your studies and personal endeavors. Let us use this occasion to foster unity, forge new friendships, and build bridges of understanding across our campuses and communities.

“On behalf of NAUS, we express our gratitude for your unwavering commitment to education, your resilience in the face of challenges, and your passion for shaping a better future for our nation. Together, we can make a difference, uplift one another, and contribute positively to the development of Nigeria.

“Once again, we wish you all a joyous and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration. May the spirit of this festive season inspire us to strive for excellence, embrace diversity, and work towards a brighter and prosperous future for Nigerian students”.
