Aso Rock Chapel Wasn't Shut Down By Me– First Lady Oluremi Tinubu

Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady, refuted a claim that she shut down the AsoRock Chapel.

Contrary to rumors, the chapel is open and hosts weekly fellowship, according to the former senator.

Recall that @VeronicaaNaomi, a Twitter user, claimed that the First Lady had given the chapel’s closure orders.

The user claimed that she had ordered the closure because some unidentified people had opposed her husband, President Bola Tinubu, in the February 2023 election.

However, the First Lady claimed the claims were untrue in a statement issued by her Special Assistant on Media, Busola Kukoyi.

“Our attention has been drawn to a story making the rounds on social media about the alleged closure of the AsoRock Chapel by the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen Olurermi Tinubu,” read the statement. CON OON.

“We would like to state unequivocally that this is a fabrication and a completely false depiction of the actual circumstances, as the First Lady never ordered that the Chapel be closed and the keys be given to Her Excellency. Weekly fellowships are currently taking place at the Chapel.

However, Mr. President has not yet appointed a chaplain for the chapel following the departure of the previous chaplain because he only reserves the right to do so.
