The OMIS (Maritime & Offshore Awards) was held at the prestigious Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos on Saturday accompanied by pomp and pageantry.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr Magdalene Ajani bagged the OMIS Guardian Angel Award for exceeding expectations to improve the maritime sector through policy formulations or advancing quality representation in the sector.
The annual ceremony celebrates innovation and achievements in the maritime and allied industries at home and abroad. Since its inception, the OMIS has been instrumental in the celebration of the strides recorded in the maritime industry through its award which has now become the biggest prize in maritime and offshore world.
