This year, GOtv subscribers have some excitement to look forward to – exclusive access to Africa Magic Showcase! As part of the celebration of Africa Magic’s 20th anniversary, viewers on the SUPA+ package will be able to enjoy the premium local content offered by Africa Magic Showcase, previously available only on DStv.
From October 1st to November 31st, a lineup of exciting shows, including five new original Africa Magic local series – Slum King, Masquerade of Aniedo, Love and Light, Refuge, and Chronicles – will be accessible on GOtv Channel 6.
To gain access to Africa Magic Showcase on GOtv, you must be subscribed to the GOtv SUPA+ package. For those who aren’t, here are simple steps to follow for subscription renewal and upgrade.
You can opt for the Self-help USSD code or use the GOtv App for a seamless experience.
To upgrade using the self-help USSD code
1. Dial *288# from the registered SIM card linked to your GOtv account.
2. Choose the “change package” option from the displayed list.
3. Enter your IUC number/smartcard number (found on the red sticker at the back of the decoder) and press Send.
4. Select the GOtv SUPA+ package and follow the prompts to complete the process. Once done, you’ll receive an SMS confirmation from GOtv indicating the successful package change.
To upgrade using the GOtv app
1. Download the myGOtv app from the Play Store and complete the sign-in process.
2. Navigate to the categories section, click on “pay bills” from the available options.
3. Click OK to proceed to the next step and select “cable TV.”
4. Choose GOtv and then GOtv SUPA+, enter your IUC number, proceed with the payment, and click done to confirm the transaction.
If you upgraded your package but can’t find the channel, just rescan your decoder. After doing that, the channel should appear on your screen. Now, enjoy your new favourite local shows on Africa Magic Showcase!
