Abbey Mortgage Bank Sets To Hold It's 32nd Annual General Meeting

The 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Abbey Mortgage Bank (AMB) has been announced and is scheduled to hold on May 30th, 2024, at 11 AM from the Head Office at 23, Karimu Kotun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

AMB is a renowned financial institution celebrated for its dedication to efficient customer satisfaction. The 32nd AGM, themed ‘Agile Tenacity,’ will highlight the Bank’s financial achievements in 2023, outline strategic goals, and engage with valued shareholders.

The meeting will be aired so shareholders and the public can tune in for reception as the board and executive management review the bank’s milestones.

In 2023, Abbey Mortgage Bank achieved record revenue for the fourth consecutive year, continuing its solid profit trend in the face of both domestic and international economic headwinds. Pre-tax profit for the Bank increased to N951 million from N827 million in 2022. The AGM will include detailed discussions on the Bank’s technological innovations, customer-focused programmes, and sustainable banking practices in addition to financial disclosures. In 2023, Abbey Mortgage Bank won numerous distinguished honours, including “Best Mortgage Bank,” “Best Customer-Centric Bank,” and “Best Mortgage Bank Brand,” in recognition of their dedication to excellence.

Continuing, leading the way in industry trends, AMB leverages digital innovations to boost operational efficiency while also responding to changing client demands. By launching WIRE, a product designed to assist female developers in Nigeria, the Bank successfully closed a significant market gap.

Furthermore, Abbey plans to release AbbeyMobile 2.0, an improved version of its mobile banking app, sometime this week. In light of the economic issues facing our country, the bank’s performance in 2023 is a monument to its resilience and quality, according to Mr. Mobolaji Adewumi, MD/CEO of Abbey Mortgage Bank. We have continued on our incredible path of change, leading our bank to become the leader in mortgage banking in Africa.

“This achievement fills me with immense pride,” he added.

However, the bank admonishes shareholders to take cognizance of the date and participate in the 32nd Annual General Meeting on May 30th, 2024. The streaming link will be available at www.abbeymortgagebank.com/Agm
