Under its Plan W programme, Guinness Nigeria has equipped 250 women entrepreneurs from different areas in Ikorodu, Lagos, with the knowledge and tools they need to launch and grow a profitable business.

Guinness Nigeria’s dedication to promoting economic success and upholding community values is further demonstrated by the recent cohort two training.

A statement claims that since the Plan W Program’s launch in 2019, it has given 1,400 women in the country more authority, promoting long-term economic growth and successful entrepreneurship.

The Director of Corporate Communications at Guinness, Rotimi Odusola, emphasised the initiative’s wide-ranging influence, saying, “Guinness Nigeria recognizes that women are an important part of our community. We’ve empowered 1,400 women so far and encourage all beneficiaries to sustain their businesses and make the best of this opportunity.

“In line with our commitment towards driving inclusion within our organization, across our value chain and within society, 10 percent of the Plan W beneficiaries are People Living with Disabilities (PLWDs),” Odusola added.

Furthering, he stated, “By investing in women, we improve employability, raise living standards, and boost the country’s GDP. This aligns with our ESG strategy, emphasizing inclusion and diversity throughout the value chain.
