Abiola Laseinde has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Beer Sectoral Group (BSG) of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). Following Mr. Tony Eneh’s termination of employment, this appointment became effective right away.
Tony was instrumental in BSG’s development during his tenure, helping to reposition and change the organisation into a well-known and powerful industry advocacy group. He led the Nigerian brewing industry’s government interaction and public policy strategy. Under his direction, significant regulatory and fiscal policy milestones were achieved, enhancing BSG’s standing as a powerful industry voice.
Continuing, BSG said in a statement that Abiola will be in charge of representing the company’s interests in terms of regulation and public policy.
In addition, Abiola will work in tandem with the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) to fulfil her responsibility for supervising the Group’s operations and policy formulation. Members of the Beer Sectoral Group include Guinness Nigeria Plc, Nigerian Breweries, and International Breweries.
She was the visionary behind The CIO Club Africa and CIO & C-Suite Awards Africa, as well as the founder and CEO of Edniesal Consulting, until her recent elevation. Over twenty years of experience in the nexus of company leadership, governance, and law are brought to the table by Abiola.
She has proven that she is committed to bringing strategic corporate governance and digital transformation to the continent.
Abiola has spent her career bridging the gap between commercial goals and legal nuances, creating conditions that support businesses. Her capacity to lead has been crucial in executing strong governance frameworks, spearheading projects that support sustainability and moral corporate conduct, and navigating complicated mergers.
Abiola has demonstrated her ability to effectively manage stakeholders in her positions at Cadbury Nigeria Plc, PZ Cussons Africa, UBA Trustees, and as a board member of the Strap & Safe Child Foundation. Additionally, she was just named Chairman of the fintech company, NOKASH.
However the timing of Abiola’s appointment is ideal as BSG continues to advance the beer business by supporting socially responsible drinking and good professional conduct among its members.
BSG, a sectoral organisation under the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), was founded in 1971 and offers a forum for policy proposals that support government efforts in policy creation.
