Hooligans have recently targeted a Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Cross River State Council bus that was carrying palliative care supplies.
After learning that the Pen Professionals would be receiving food during this phase of distribution from Rev. James Anam, Director of the Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (CR-SEMA), they quickly made their way to the government warehouse and delivered the food.

A few hours ago, some thugs attacked the slowly moving automobile carrying food items via the damaged windows while it was en route to the NUJ Secretariat. The vehicle was loaded with palliatives.
Their luck, however, changed when the bus’s booth opened and multiple sacks of rice and garri fell out, according to the bus driver Joseph Akpaenin, whose phone was taken and who was also left with a broken shoulder from the incident. He added that the mob’s attention was diverted from the bus to the objects that were dropped off, allowing him to squeeze out and find safety.
