The global leader in consumer electronics, LG Electronics, successfully hosted an online webinar titled “Summer Treats: Prepping Kids for Summer Holiday” as part of their effort to introduce parents and kids to the opportunities available with technology. The webinar was well-attended and focused on giving parents helpful insights and tips on how to prepare their kids for summer break.
The goal of the webinar, which was to empower parents in Nigeria by presenting innovative summertime activities, was accomplished.
Particular attention was given to acquainting the kids with the advantages and prospects that await them in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, and coding, as BrandSpur technology and information reports.
During the webinar, notable female leaders in the fields of technology and society, including esteemed speakers like Hajia Bolanle Muse, President of the Commonwealth Business Women Africa Nigeria Chapter (CBW-Africa), Amarachi Onyemaobi, President of GirlsInTech Nigeria, Damilola Emuze, Head of Operations at The Bulb Africa, and Dr. Anire Okogun, Vice President of CBW-Africa, shared insightful information.
The presenters took questions, and their well-reasoned responses added flavour to the webinar. During the Webinar, ten participants were awarded prizes for correctly answering certain questions on the topics discussed by the presenters.

As part of this program, LG Electronics is providing free coding instruction to children, equipping them with the knowledge and abilities necessary to succeed in the technologically advanced world of today. Furthermore, LG offers parents insightful information and helpful resources to enhance their children’s educational journeys more effectively.
Oluyemisi Dada, a broadcast media executive and CBN TVC News presenter, skillfully mediated the discussion. LG Electronics hopes that by making these important tools available, it can improve the lives of families and help shape the minds of future leaders of the world.

The following are some lessons learnt from the webinar:
- Since technology will rule the future, it is imperative that kids learn about it early on. This includes coding, artificial intelligence, and other topics.
- Encouraging kids to use technology provides them with a solid basis for problem-solving.
- Allows kids to internalise the concept of critical thinking.
- AI is replacing human labour in our day and age, and the only people who will be employed in the future are those who are tech-savvy.
- Since technology is now a necessity for all professions, it is best to encourage kids to adopt it at a young age.
