Lenovo is getting ready to release a new line of Copilot Plus PCs, which may result in more reasonably priced choices for consumers.
Reliable sources that spoke to the BrandSpur digital news platform claim that the corporation will make an announcement at the next IFA trade show in Berlin regarding these new gadgets, some of which will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon X Plus 8-core CPU.
The IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 and the IdeaPad Slim 5x are two of the planned launches. The IdeaPad Slim 5x is a conventional clamshell laptop with an OLED display option, and the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 is a convertible device with a 14-inch OLED display.
It has been reported that the new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core chip, which differs from the conventional 10-core version present in current models, will power both smartphones.
With an anticipated September release date, Lenovo has set the starting price for the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 at €999 and the Slim 5x at €899 respectively. With this cost, they are less expensive than the €1,199 suggested retail price of Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 7, which is the least expensive Copilot Plus PC available right now. It remains to be seen if these costs will experience comparable reductions in the US.
The US market has seen different costs, with products like the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus and HP OmniBook X being offered at discounted rates, while European shoppers may experience considerable savings.
Lenovo is extending its product line beyond Qualcomm-powered gadgets. Additionally, the business plans to release Copilot Plus PCs featuring AMD and Intel processors.
While other variants, such as the IdeaPad Slim 5 and Yoga Pro 7, will be powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen processors, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition will be equipped with Intel’s most recent Core Ultra Series 2 CPUs. This may provide consumers of Lenovo with more affordable options in the Copilot Plus category, particularly considering the higher costs now attached to these AI-enabled PCs.
However, the official announcement is anticipated to take place at IFA Berlin, and customers may soon have more access to a greater selection of reasonably priced, powerful laptops that incorporate the most recent developments in chip technology.
