
A statement signed by Manoj Kuraikose, General Manager of Sales, Middle East, Africa, and India on Tuesday reveals with immediacy that Mary Gbobaniyi has been named by Delta Airlines as its new Manager of Sales for West Africa.
Gbobaniyi will handle Delta’s sales and commercial activities throughout West Africa, including the airline’s major online stations in Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal, the airline reports. She will be located in Lagos, BrandSpur Nigeria news today reports.
The statement partly reads: “Additionally, she will support Delta’s joint venture partners, including Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic.
“I am excited to have her on board and look forward to the experience and knowledge she will bring to our already amazing team,” it added.
Continuing, Gbobaniyi came to Delta with a plethora of aviation sector experience, having worked with Emirates for nine years as the sales manager for Nigeria. She spent six years working for Lufthansa German Airlines, where she eventually rose to the role of Regional Manager for Key Accounts before joining Emirates. She was an excellent asset to Delta’s leadership team in West Africa because she had a wealth of sales and management experience in addition to her in-depth knowledge of the aviation industry.

Gbobaniyi graduated with a GNVQ Advanced in Business Studies from Westminster Kingsway College in London, UK, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology and Marketing from London Metropolitan University.
