
Leader in marketing communications, Kemi Longe who holds a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), has returned to her position as Portfolio Director for Southern, West, and Central Africa at the international alcoholic beverage company Diageo.
With operations in Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, South Africa, and the Seychelles, among other places, the business unit is divided into two zones that span Southern Africa, the Indian Ocean, and West and Central Africa, BrandSpur news brand reports.
Longe’s new role will entail, among other things, overseeing the portfolio team’s development and localisation of brand strategies and standards for execution to transform and accelerate the growth of Diageo’s worldwide spirits business in Africa.
Before joining Diageo, Kemi held the position of Head of Marketing at PZ Cussons, where she oversaw P&L, managed innovation, provided cross-functional leadership for the marketing team, and managed revenue development.
Continuing, a self-starter with experience in business development, customer management, route-to-market excellence, sales, and capability building, she began her career as a Lube Oil blending plant and Testing Laboratory Trainee at African Petroleum before moving on to Superior Equipment Limited as a Technical Sales Staff.

Longe, was the Sales Manager for CP Fibreglass before she departed for Diageo. Longe was the Retail Development Manager at Diageo before moving to Unilever, where she worked for more than five years in a variety of capacities, including Manager (Supermarkets), Channel Manager, Territory Manager, and Modern Trade Business Development Manager.
Longe, previously held positions as Marketing Manager-Wellness Category and Shopper Marketing Manager at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
