
The 46th edition of Loeries Annual Creative Week will be held in The City of Cape Town from October 7–11, and the organisation is happy to announce that it is Africa’s and the Middle East’s leading award for creative achievement in advertising and brand communication.
The creative community from the Middle East and Africa gathers in Cape Town each year to honour the best creative works in the region. The Loeries awards are the highest accolade for creative brand communications and highlight the wide range of exceptional creative talent in the area.
According to Preetesh Sewraj, CEO of Loeries: “The 46th Loeries Creative Week in October, is a celebration of the resilience and determination of our brand communications community. This year’s theme, ‘This is tough, so are you,’ reflects the challenges we’ve faced and the strength we’ve shown in overcoming them. Our Loeries Creative Week line-up celebrates the grit and innovation that defines our industry.”
A year-long endeavour, Loeries Creative Week culminates in a magnificent festival of creativity.
The judging procedure this year, which is held at Cape Town City Hall from October 7–9, is evidence of the effort and commitment that go into making this event a success. 189 judges, 17 panels, 12 nations in Africa and the Middle East, and five jury presidents from outside the region are involved in the judgement process. The Jury Presidents represent a variety of nations, including India, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
The B2B Creativity category has been added to honour business-to-business efforts. Additionally, the Media Innovation category has been broadened to include four craft categories and eleven new subcategories. These modifications are a reflection of Loeries’ dedication to leading the industry in innovation and celebrating work in all areas of brand communications.
The distinguished International Jury Presidents for this year are: Laura Jordan Bambach, Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Uncharted; Dennis May, Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe DACH; Ajay Gahlaut, Independent Creative; Frank Hahn, Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Group Germany; and Jack Renwick, Strategic and Creative Director at Jack Renwick Studio. These top business executives will direct the judging procedure, guaranteeing that only the best work is honoured.
The Loeries calendar for this year is jam-packed with intriguing events. The Loeries Expo and the Student Expo will be held at the Homecoming Centre from October 9–11.
Leading figures in the field will impart their knowledge in thought-provoking Masterclasses, providing a range of viewpoints on important industry topics through lively discussion. Furthermore, by giving high school students access to the wide range of opportunities in the creative industries, the Loeries High School Program will inspire and develop the next generation of talent.
There will be twelve international speakers at the highly anticipated Loeries International Seminar on Creativity, BrandSpur digital platform reports.
The two Awards Ceremonies, which honour the best creative work in the region, will take place at City Hall on October 10 and 11, and will be the main event of the week. After the final awards night on October 11, there will be an incredible afterparty at Cabo Beach Club to round off the week.
All things considered, Loeries Creative Week 2024 looks to be a creatively rewarding event that provides a variety of networking chances for creatives in the area.
