Marking a significant achievement in tech education, ALX Nigeria is proud to announce the graduation of over 800 Data Science students, who are part of a larger cohort of 2,800 across Africa. With more than 800 graduates from Nigeria alone, ALX, Africa’s top IT career accelerator, recently celebrated the graduation of over 2,800 students from all over the continent.
These graduates, who made up ALX’s inaugural group of Data Science experts, finished a demanding course of study meant to set them up for success in the digital industry.
The two-month ALX Foundations module, which included communication, leadership, and career development, was the first part of the curriculum. After that, students advanced to specialise in data science, picking up knowledge of cloud computing, SQL, Power BI, spreadsheets, statistics, and data modelling.
Continuing, for ALX Nigeria, which is committed to advancing digital education on the continent and enabling the upcoming generation of African tech leaders, this graduation represents a critical turning point. Parents and guardians attended the graduation ceremony in Lagos to celebrate their wards’ success.
The country general manager of ALX Nigeria, Ruby Igwe, expressed her pride in the cohort by saying: “The success of our first Data Science cohort is an affirmation of the potential within our youthful population. This set of graduates has shown extraordinary commitment and developed the skills needed to lead in the tech industry.”
The country marketing manager for ALX Nigeria, Seun Babajide-Duroshola, continued, saying that the graduation is just the start of a year full of memorable events in 2024.
According to her: “There is no better time to kickstart your tech journey with us than now.”
ALX continues to influence the future of the tech sector in Africa by training millions of young Africans for successful careers and leadership positions in tech innovation through its top-notch tech training programs, BrandSpur technology, and information news reports.
