ALX Bags “Outstanding Leader In Technology Accelerator Award” At WEETS 2024

By obtaining the “Outstanding Leader in Technology Accelerator Award” at the Women Entrepreneurs & Executives in Tech Summit (WEETS) 2024, ALX—Africa’s premier tech learning accelerator—has once again shown its groundbreaking significance in the tech industry.

Adebimpe Odunlana, ALX Partnership Lead, accepted the esteemed award at the Lagos Chambers of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) function.

During a dynamic boot camp, ALX’s Operations Manager, Helen Eboagwu, gave an inspiring speech on “Balancing Work & Life” to kick off the WEETS 2024 summit. She talked about the difficulties women now have with work and personal obligations, stressing the value of mental health, self-care, and setting reasonable boundaries at work to prevent burnout.

Odunlana represented ALX and provided thoughts on the relationship between artificial intelligence and women’s leadership during a significant panel discussion titled AI Leadership: Navigating the Future of Women in Business. She emphasised the crucial role artificial intelligence (AI) plays in altering sectors and exhorted female leaders to strategically utilise AI’s potential to change the corporate environment.

Women executives from a variety of industries came together for the WEETS Summit to collaborate and share expertise.

The summit’s organiser, Ugochi Emmanuel, praised ALX for its continuous support of, and innovative approach to digital learning, highlighting its contributions to the tech industry.

The newest honour for ALX is their victory at WEETS 2024. Prior recognitions include EdTech Company of the Year, the Tech Unite Africa Award for Excellence, and the Titans of Tech Awards’ Most Innovative EdTech Company of the Year.
