To provide Canal+ Group applications on webOS in all Canal+ Group areas, LG Electronics and Canal+ Group have announced the extension and fortification of their global relationship.
In addition to the renewal of the Canal+ brands in France, Poland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, and Myanmar, this partnership spans more than 40 territories for the first time. Additionally, the Canal+ App will soon be available on LG TVs in French overseas territories and more than 25 French-speaking African territories. Additionally, it covers six other Canal+ Group brands: Focus Sat in Romania, TV Vlaanderen and Télésat in Belgium, Direct One in Hungary, Skylink in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and K+ in Vietnam.
Canal+ Group subscribers will have the simplest way to access the best sports, movies, or series content at home or on the go thanks to the Canal+ Group applications, which will be available on LG Smart TVs running webOS 4.0 and above (*webOS 5.0 for French-speaking Africa and French Overseas territories) and other LG screens, like projectors.
With just a single click, Canal+ Group subscribers will be able to access their favorite content by logging in, BrandSpur technology and IT news reports.
According to LG Home Entertainment Company’s Senior Vice-President of platform business, Chris Jo: “We are pleased to extend our partnership with LG across all our territories, underscoring the acceleration of Canal+ Group global expansion. With this partnership, accessing all Canal+ content and bundles has never been so easy on webOS, mentioned Philippe Schwerer, EVP of Industrial Partnerships & New Business at Canal+ Group. LG has been committed to offering relevant services across regions and for various audiences.
“With LG webOS users having now access to a wide offer of CANAL+ group apps, including Canal+ premium service, we are confident our partnership with Canal+ will be strengthened,” Jo added.
