Leading international cross-border payment provider Klasha is thrilled to announce its new collaboration with Singapore-based global education fintech startup EasyTransfer, to make it simpler to collect tuition from overseas students in a variety of African currencies.

Innovative options for handling foreign school payments at clear and reasonable rates are offered by EasyTransfer. To further service its African clients, it required a payment partner that could facilitate disbursements in hard currencies like USD and collections in local African currencies. EasyTransfer is now able to provide more affordable payment options to international students from Africa thanks to its partnership with Klasha. Through this arrangement, local African currencies can be collected more easily, and payouts in hard currencies, such as the US dollar, can be made at more favorable rates.

According to Tony Gao, EasyTransfer’s President and Co-founder: “Our partnership with Klasha has enabled simpler and faster settlement times, an undeniable advantage for international students from African countries like Nigeria and Kenya, representing a significant growing proportion of international education.”

Continuing, Guohao Sun, EasyTransfer’s Partner for Global Operations added: “We remain committed to serving international students from as many different regions in as many currencies as possible and actively seek partnerships that enable us to achieve this more efficiently.”

International students from more than 170 countries and regions, including several African nations, use EasyTransfer to pay their tuition. African payments on Klasha’s platform will be streamlined and expedited thanks to the new relationship. The fact that students from some African nations, like Nigeria and Kenya, are increasingly enrolling in foreign colleges, particularly those in the United Kingdom, is important for the global education sector, BrandSpur business and economy news reports.

Klasha’s Founder and CEO, Jess Anuna, was excited about the collaboration. She said: “At Klasha, our mission has always been to bridge the gap for cross-border payments in emerging markets. This partnership with EasyTransfer reflects our commitment to providing international students with accessible and reliable payment options. We’re excited to make paying for tuition easier and more affordable for African students studying abroad, further empowering the global education sector.”

Justin Fan, Managing Director of Asia Operations at Klasha, emphasized the strategic significance of this collaboration by saying: “As African students continue to pursue educational opportunities in countries like the UK, simplifying their tuition payments is crucial. Our partnership with EasyTransfer ensures students and their families can focus on education without the stress of complex financial logistics. We provide a solution that caters to their specific needs.”
