
Through the full-time internship program offered by the African Union (AU), eligible persons from various academic backgrounds can obtain professional exposure to the AU’s operations.
In addition to being able to communicate with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds and beliefs, candidates for the AU internship program must be interested in the regional organization’s operations.
BrandSpur Nigeria news today reports that to qualify for the program:
- The candidate must be a citizen of one of the member states of the African Union.
- The candidate must have earned a bachelor’s degree or an advanced/postgraduate (Masters) credential in a related academic field, or be enrolled in the last year of a bachelor’s degree program.
- At the time of selection, the applicant’s age shouldn’t exceed 32.
- Fluency in one of the African Union’s working languages—English, French, Arabic, or Portuguese—is required of the applicant.
- The candidate must have a high level of honesty and moral behaviour.
- Except for minor traffic infractions, the applicant must not have been found guilty of any severe criminal crimes.

The Requirements for application include:
- A letter of motivation outlining their goals for the internship program
- A copy of a current national identity card or passport
- Certified copy of the pertinent academic credentials
- Curriculum vitae (CV) as of right now
- Letter of recommendation for an internship from the educational institution they are enrolled in
