LG Uplus will undergo its first restructuring with an emphasis on artificial intelligence (AX) commercialization. As part of its 2025 organizational restructuring, LG Uplus announced on the 28th that it will create an AI Agent Promotion Group under the Consumer Division to oversee the B2C business.

Continuing, it intends to concentrate on creating AI services and associated goods that consumers can experience by launching “Mobile Agent Trib” and “Home Agent Trib.” The corporation specifically intends to expedite the commercialization of each T-live organization through “agile” methods that ensure the independence of decision-making rights, analogous to those of startups. For AX enterprises, LG Uplus will also restructure its human and technical departments.

To accelerate the creation of new AI-related services, the company intends to establish the “Agent/Platform Development Lab” under the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who is in charge of technology development, and the “AX/human resources development manager” under the Chief Personnel Officer (CHO), who will assist in securing and improving the AX capabilities of company members. The ‘digitalization of communication’ will also see the reopening of some new commercial groups.

BrandSpur technology and IT news desk reports that to boost the effects with current B2C enterprises, Infinix Star, Idle Nara, and organizations led by the Chief Content Officer (CCO) will move below the consumer sector in addition to “Nugget,” a communication platform with a pre-paid price plan that was introduced last year.

Furthermore, platform services like the commerce platform “U-Kok” and the subscription platform “U-Dok” will be combined under the umbrella of “in charge of subscription/Omni platform.”

The Chief of HRBP at LG Uplus, Lee Won-hee, stated: “We will reorganize to accelerate the transition to AX Company centered on AI and digital transformation. We plan to use 2025 as the first year of new growth to secure digital competitiveness in our telecommunications main business and lay the foundation for future growth.”
