South African Company Clinches ESG Category Award In The 2024 World Public Relations And Communication Awards Ceremony

In Bali, Indonesia, the 2024 World Public Relations and Communication Awards winners were just announced alongside Re.Bag.Re.Use the sole African winner.

BrandSpur digital news platform reports that this effort, which is proudly South African, won the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Category’s top honor.

The founder of Re.Bag.Re.Use, Regine le Roux, says they are excited and humbled. He said: “We are incredibly grateful to every single person and organisation who has contributed—and continues to contribute—to this beautiful initiative. Who would have thought that a simple hobby, an experiment, and a single empty bread bag would snowball into this remarkable, globally recognised initiative?”

According to Global Alliance President and CEO Justin Green, the ESG category honors projects that go above and beyond the call of duty to bring about significant, long-lasting impact. He said: “This year’s winner, Re.Bag.Re.Use, exemplifies the power of innovative public relations to address pressing global challenges. By repurposing waste into functional products, they are not only reducing environmental footprints but also driving economic empowerment within their community. Re.Bag.Re.Use stands out as a shining example of innovation, purpose, and impact.

“A project with a global impact truly deserves world recognition,” the CEO added.

Over 100 entries were received from all over the world for this year’s awards program, and 19 outstanding campaigns and initiatives won in their respective categories. A distinguished panel of judges made up of well-known industry professionals and communicators from around the world chose the winners.
