To commemorate its fourth year in business, 9 Payment Service Bank (9PSB), a leading digital payment service provider, has given 10,000 branded exercise books to schools in different parts of Nigeria

Among the schools are Shokwari Junior Secondary School in Maiduguri, Borno State; Kano Capital School in Kano; Crown Jewel College in Lagos; and LEA Primary School in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

By making sure that children have the resources they need to thrive in their academic endeavors, the financial literacy workshop and book donation are intended to empower students and, inevitably, their parents. It also demonstrates the bank’s dedication to advancing social progress and financial literacy to promote financial inclusion in Nigeria.

This sizeable donation is a component of 9PSB’s larger Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which aims to close the gap in financial inclusion in underserved communities by giving students master classes in financial literacy and vital study aids. The 10,000 donated books were intended to inspire and uplift the parents and pupils of the chosen schools.

Branka Mracajac, MD/CEO of 9PSB, spoke at the donation event at Crown Jewel College in Lagos accessed by BrandSpur national news stories and said she was proud of the project.

According to her: “This is our way of adding value to the society. We are confident that this educative session with the students, as well as the books donated to them, will immensely improve their knowledge of finance, their money management skills, and their overall ability to prepare for their future at an early age. As we mark our 4th year anniversary, we are committed to playing a role in the CBN’s mission to promote financial literacy and education in schools across the country.”

Continuing, Mracajac went on to underline how important financial literacy is to the bank’s mission to promote financial inclusion in Nigeria, saying: “At 9PSB, we understand that financial literacy begins with education. We believe the books donated and the sessions held will play a pivotal role in the academic growth of the students and help pave the way for their future success. Our mission is not just to provide banking services but to empower Nigerians, especially youths with the tools and information they need to make informed financial decisions in today’s increasingly digital world.”

The principal of Crown Jewel College, Mrs. Remilekun Segun Fadeyi, expressed gratitude to 9PSB for their considerate donation, stating: “On behalf of the school management and students, we are sincerely grateful for this generous contribution. These books will be invaluable in enhancing the learning experience of our students, and we are committed to ensuring they are put to good use. The literacy session held has also broadened their financial management skills and deepened their knowledge of money management.”

The pupils and school administration expressed their sincere gratitude for the bank’s gift.

However, 9PSB’s continued efforts to promote financial inclusion and education in Nigeria include this donation. A range of community engagement initiatives aimed at advancing social welfare, education, and financial literacy in Nigeria are still supported by the bank.
