In Nigeria, December is a unique time of year when people take a vacation from their busy schedules to relax, enjoy, and make lifelong memories with their loved ones. FirstBank recognizes the importance of December by launching the annual DecemberIssaVybe campaign as part of its First@arts strategy.

This program offers fully paid admission to coveted performances, plays, concerts, and festivals with A-list performers to encourage and enable individuals to make and savor exciting memories.

Plays, musical performances, operas, fashion shows, poetry, and other performance arts are among the many exciting events and entertainment options that take place during this month. With a plethora of year-end Thanksgiving parties, street carnivals, fireworks, and vibrant Christmas decorations, the mood is electric throughout the month.

BrandSpur entertainment and information news desk reports that as Nigerians reunite with family and friends who are traveling from all over the world, it’s also a time for bonding.

For Nigerians hoping to rejoice and have a good time this December, FirstBank provides a much-needed reprieve given the difficult economic situation. The leading financial institution has continuously assimilated into society for more than 130 years, including by generously sponsoring festive concerts that feature some of Africa’s biggest musicians, such as Kizz Daniel, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Tiwa Savage, and many more, leaving music fans with life-changing experiences.

Furthering, the goal of the DecemberIssaVybe campaign is to create memories. It offers a venue for audiences from abroad and Nigeria to take part in unique events.

The FirstBankIssaVybe campaign began in 2018 and has since produced thrilling moments that people look forward to every December. As the 2024 year-end season approaches, FirstBank has put together an amazing schedule of events to make the most of DecemberIssaVybe.

On Saturday, December 13, at Lagos’ Onikan Stadium, the much-awaited campaign got underway with the sponsorship of Kenny Blaq’s Reckless Musicomedy Festival. FirstBank gave away free tickets to young Nigerians and entertainment fans who were excited to see the performance through interesting social media posts. With performances by DJ Neptune, Kenny Blaq, Aproko, MC Monica, OvyGodwin, and others, the event, which began in the late afternoon and lasted into the night, featured a memorable evening full of music and humor.

The evening was filled with lively energy, dancing, and laughter for those who attended. The thrilling festival highlights Africa’s remarkable creative entertainment landscape by fusing the vibrant worlds of comedy and music. In addition to well-known comedians, several up-and-coming artists were allowed to perform, to the loud cheers of the audience.

Comedian and singer, Kehinde Otolorin, better known by his stage name Kenny Blaq, was the event’s main attraction and thrilled audiences with a mesmerizing blend of comedy, dance, and song. He outlined his goals for the festival before it, saying: “Music and comedy have always been intertwined for me, and I aimed to create an event that highlights both in a unique way. This festival encourages people to embrace boldness and creativity while having fun.”
