The ease and accessibility of running—all you need is a good pair of running shoes to start your journey toward a better lifestyle—is driving the global marathon craze. In keeping with this trend, LG offices throughout the world are holding “LG Life’s Good Run” activities to encourage people to band together and prioritize their physical fitness and health in entertaining and interesting ways.

To encourage improved physical health and a deeper sense of community based on exercise, LG Thailand held the “Kao Ta Jai 10K Thailand Championship 2024” in the center of Bangkok earlier this year. As an official sponsor, LG Thailand encouraged Thai citizens to enjoy working out by running with one another in a good atmosphere. To establish a new standard for international competition events, the event was organized in cooperation with the Step Challenge Association, Thailand’s Department of Health, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the Athletics Association of Thailand, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).
500 LG members in Thailand took part in the “Kao Ta Jai 10K Thailand Championship 2024,” which drew over 7,000 competitors and attracted a lot of interest from health-conscious people. The high level of participation shows how Life’s Good when the community comes together to experience the joy of exercising and represents a growing understanding among Thai people about the necessity of taking care of one’s health. People from all around the world, including another Southeast Asian nation, are observing this marathon craze.
In an incredible display of tenacity and camaraderie, LG Malaysia recently held its inaugural “LG Life’s Good Run” at Anjung Floria in Putrajaya. Over 3,000 runners participated in the event, all of whom embodied Life’s excellent ethos by sharing a journey of excellent health and constructive, self-improving challenges. The LG Life’s Good Run is more than simply a race; it inspires both professionals and amateurs to set out on a path of self-discovery, where each stride leads them one step closer to the happier, healthier life they deserve.
Continuing to encourage resiliency and tenacity in young runners, the children’s division was created to allow them to take on their biggest personal challenge yet. Men’s Open (aged 16–39), Men’s Veteran (aged 40 and above), Men’s (Non-Malaysian) (aged 16 and above), Women’s Open (aged 16–39), Women’s Veteran (aged 40 and above), and Women’s (Non-Malaysian) (aged 16 and above) were the six categories in which prizes were given to the top three finishers. Some of the company’s best-selling products, such as the LG WashTower, 65-inch LG OLED TV, and LG InstaView refrigerator, were among the rewards.
In addition, there were entertaining side quests in the carnival area, which was a center of anticipation and excitement. Runners and their support networks, which include friends and family, were delighted by the captivating product displays, traditional Korean activities, and Instagrammable product zones that were put up, making the entire event even more memorable. By partnering with its distribution partner, OPALNET, to support this year’s “Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon,” Kenya’s premier running event that consistently draws over 25,000 runners from around the world, LG East Africa is also promoting healthy lifestyles through a shared love of running.
The chance to raise millions of dollars for multiple charities is an additional advantage of holding a marathon. A significant portion of the Nairobi Marathon’s revenues are donated to worthy projects that are established to enhance the lives of underprivileged populations, including women, children, and persons with disabilities. Promoting different educational, career, and community-enriching options that would not be feasible without a substantial amount of cash is the aim. To support the event, the two companies brought in KES 1.7 million (USD 13,000) worth of technology, which included eight XBOOM speakers and five 65-inch TVs to be utilized along the 42-kilometer circuit.
The winners even received certain things as prizes. With LG and OPALNET joining 40 other sponsors to generate a total of KES 173 million (USD 1.3 million), this kind of donation was part of a larger sponsoring group that gave the event even more significance and clout in the area. The massive marathon also gave customers a firsthand look at LG products’ state-of-the-art features, which helped them better appreciate their exceptional capabilities. The local LG employees who participated benefited just as much because they could directly support Kenya’s sports culture and community growth.
Several LG employees recently volunteered as pacemakers for those runners with impairments at the “2024 JTBC Seoul Marathon,” one of the country’s largest marathons, as running is one of the fastest-growing pastimes in Korea, largely due to the expanding number of running organizations. The company’s participation in the marathon challenge for those with brain impairments further exemplified their ESG mission of Better Life for All. LG’s recent efforts have concentrated on enhancing the strength of the community and raising awareness of the significance of improving one’s physical and mental well-being, as the running trend is expected to continue.
