Punch Christian Mrs. Tunde-Obe Executive Director, Business Development And Innovation

‎Mrs. Valerie Omowunmi Tunde-Obe has been appointed by Punch Nigeria Limited’s board as Executive Director, Business Development and Innovation.

The management of the proprietors of the most popular newspaper in Nigeria said in a statement available to BrandSpur, a national news brand, that Tunde-Obe’s appointment will begin on January 1, 2025.

Tunde-Obe was a Non-Executive Director at Punch Nigeria Limited before her recent appointment, where she contributed her knowledge of corporate governance, strategic planning, and innovation. With more than twenty years of experience in the advertising, culinary, beauty, and arts sectors, the new Executive Director is a multi-talented creative professional, entrepreneur, and corporate leader.

Tunde-Obe began her career as a copywriter at LTC/JWT Advertising, where she spent several years creating campaigns for well-known companies like Cadbury, Coca-Cola, Guinness, and Unilever. Later, she became an entrepreneur and started United Hairways Beauty Company, Iya Ibadan Local Cuisine & Foods, and KOPYKATS & Associates Limited, a freelance copywriting and production company.

The Nigerian music scene has been greatly influenced by her. Throughout their nearly three-decade career as well-known recording artists, she and her husband, Tunde Obe, who perform under the musical moniker T.W.O., have established an incredible career.

Tunde-Obe graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Lagos and is certified by Harvard Business School Online in Design Thinking & Innovation and Entrepreneurship Essentials. She also holds a certification from Joan Morais Cosmetic School in Natural Hair Care Formulation. She likes to read, paint, travel, listen to music, and interact with others in her free time.
