The Lagos State Police Command has received praise from Bolt, a Nigerian ride-hailing service, for its excellent work in capturing multiple armed robbery groups who preyed on private commercial vehicle operators, including our driver partners.
The Nigerian Police Force’s consistent commitment to maintaining safety and security in Lagos State is demonstrated by this milestone. Bolt strongly advises its driver-partners to put their safety first in light of recent incidents. They can do this by using the various safety features on the app and following platform guidelines, which include sharing trip details in real-time with trusted contacts or using the in-app SOS button to alert emergency services. They should also refrain from accepting trips outside of the platform to ensure that all journeys are recorded and insured.
Bolt Nigeria’s general manager, Osi Oguah, commented on the latest development: “We applaud the Lagos State Police Command for their swift and decisive action in dismantling these criminal gangs. The safety of our driver-partners and riders is our top priority, and we will continue to invest in tools, technology, and partnerships that enhance security. We also encourage our driver-partners to fully utilize the safety features available on the Bolt app and to remain vigilant at all times.”
To guarantee safer roads and a secure atmosphere for mobility services in Lagos and throughout Nigeria, Bolt is still dedicated to working with law enforcement, regulators, and important stakeholders.
Continuing, to strengthen safety measures on its platform, the corporation has pledged a substantial contribution of €100 million over the following three years.
BrandSpur national news stories report that the Bolt Safety Team’s vital efforts in product development, customer service, safety feature awareness, and preventative steps to reduce safety incidents will be aided by this financing.
