Google Set To Raise Its Bar, Advance Search Users Experience With AI, Other Technology

To improve user experience, Google intends to make certain improvements to its Search platform in 2025, with a particular emphasis on incorporating cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence (AI).

During Google’s most recent earnings call, CEO Sundar Pichai gave an overview of the company’s plans, noting that the year will see a significant increase in the way people interact with Search. He claims that Google is trying to increase the number of questions users can ask to improve Search’s usability and ability to handle complicated queries.

According to the giant company’s CEO: “As AI continues to expand the universe of queries that people can ask, 2025 is going to be one of the biggest years for search innovation yet.”

Including elements created by Google’s research division, DeepMind is an intriguing aspect of this evolution. The image depicts a future in which Search serves more as an interactive helper than as a tool that merely offers a list of connections to websites.

Direct responses to in-depth queries will be available to users, eliminating the need for them to go between several web pages. The advent of rival technologies, especially OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which posed a threat to the conventional search paradigm, prompted Google to concentrate on creating a more dynamic search experience. Since then, Google has been working more quickly to improve the way information is presented. Businesses and content producers who rely on search traffic and advertising revenue, however, are particularly concerned about this shift.

Project Astra, a system that can analyze live video and provide real-time answers to user questions, is one of the most anticipated developments. Pichai said: “You can imagine the future with Project Astra,” characterizing it as a window into the future.

BrandSpur digital news platform reports that with the help of an internal operating system, Google hopes to expand this technology to other goods, such as smart eyewear. Once more, Google is creating Gemini Deep Research, a sophisticated tool for producing in-depth studies. Because it automates processes that were previously done through human searches, this technology has the potential to significantly alter how people obtain information.

Continuing, Pichai had this to say: “You are really dramatically expanding the types of use cases for which Search can work – things which don’t always get answered instantaneously, but can take some time to answer.”

By interacting with websites on behalf of users, Project Mariner, another initiative, will make web navigation easier. This could further change how Search functions by lowering the requirement for users to visit websites directly. Additionally, Pichai alluded to a more dynamic Search experience that would enable users to easily ask follow-up queries.

He went on to reveal: “I think the [Search] product will evolve even more. As you make it more easy for people to interact and ask follow-up questions, etc., I think we have an opportunity to drive further growth.”

Despite Google’s zeal, earlier attempts to incorporate technology-driven search capabilities have drawn criticism. When AI-generated overviews were introduced, they had several errors and strange suggestions, such as telling viewers to eat pebbles and put glue on pizza. Even though the business was aware of these issues, it is still committed to improving Search through more testing.
