Mondelez Promotes Norberto Chaclin To EVP And Chief R&D Officer

Mondelez International has appointed Norberto Chaclin as EVP and chief research and development (R&D) officer.

Chaclin, who will report directly to chair and CEO Dirk Van de Put, will oversee the company’s global R&D and quality strategy, driving innovation and supporting Mondelez’s vision to shape the future of snacking.

Chaclin, who joined the company in 2018, previously served as SVP of R&D for global biscuits and as regional R&D partner for North America. In these roles, he led innovations for brands such as Oreo, Chips Ahoy, Ritz, BelVita and Clif Bar. He has also led R&D for Mondelez’s global gum and candy business.

Before joining Mondelez, Chaclin spent 18 years at PepsiCo, holding various leadership positions, including leading R&D for PepsiCo North America Beverages and the Pepsi/Starbucks joint venture.
