As part of a planned retirement strategy, Rodney Sacks, the chairman and co-CEO of Monster Beverage, has formally filed his resignation, effective June 12, 2025.
On March 10, 2025, 75-year-old Sacks informed the board of the corporation that he intended to resign from his dual positions.
After he leaves, Hilton H. Schlosberg will take over as the only CEO on June 13, 2025. This shift in leadership is especially significant as Monster Beverage continues to negotiate a market that is changing quickly and is marked by rising customer interest in sustainable and alternative food sources.
Beginning July 1, 2025, the transition agreement calls for an annual salary of $900,000 in addition to performance-based bonuses and benefits.
However, Sacks’ continued participation demonstrates Monster Beverage’s dedication to a smooth leadership change, especially as the business deals with the opportunities and difficulties brought about by new developments in the beverage sector.
