
The 2025–2026 Chatham House Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship is now accepting applications. The Mo Ibrahim Foundation is a partner in the program.
Candidates in their early to mid-career stages have the chance to spend ten months at Chatham House working on research of their choosing under the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Academy Fellowship. Interns will contribute to the Institute’s key activities, hone their leadership abilities, and expand their professional networks in the international affairs sector.
Eligibility
BrandSpur digital news platform reports that the following are candidates qualified to participate:
- Citizens of African nations are eligible to participate in the program.
- Candidates may apply if they are dual citizens of any African nation.
- The candidate must possess research experience and have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- The candidate should be in the early to mid-stage of their career and work in a government agency, business, academia, civil society, media, or an NGO.
- Additionally, each applicant must be knowledgeable about and interested in international affairs, their field of study, and Chatham House’s mission.
- Age restrictions do not apply.
- The candidates must be prepared to dedicate themselves to the ten-month stay at Chatham House, which will take place from October 2025 to July 2026. Additionally, hybrid working is feasible.
Benefits
There are numerous benefits which encompass:
- A competitive monthly stipend of £2,565 will be provided to fellows to cover living expenses in London, including housing, utilities, food and transport.
- All relocation and travel expenses, including visa fees, will be paid for in full.
- All costs associated with the UK’s immigration health fee will be paid for, except prescription drugs and dental and optical treatment.
- Research expenditures for fieldwork, outreach, publications, and events will be covered.
- Following the program, you will have access to Chatham House’s academic staff and alumni as well as a five-year membership.
