Travellers on the Nigeria-London route will save up to N600,000 thanks to a cut in airfares announced by Air Peace Ltd.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), this was revealed in a statement available to BrandSpur national news stories, released in Lagos on Wednesday and signed by Dr Ejike Ndiulo, the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications. It claims the offer is a component of the airline’s most recent marketing initiative.

A statement by NAN reveals: “Air Peace Ltd. has reduced its Nigeria-London airfare by N600,000 for all travellers emanating from Nigeria. This is contained in a statement signed by the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr Ejike Ndiulo, on Wednesday in Lagos.
“According to Ndiulo, the offer is in the airline’s latest promo,” it added.
A special offer of one complimentary additional piece of luggage for passengers was also highlighted in the announcement. With a longer travel window till April 15, the discount will run through March 31. Before flying to London Gatwick, passengers from places including Abuja, Asaba, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, Port Harcourt, and Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri, Anambra State, must make a connection at Lagos.
According to a review of the airline’s booking portal, depending on seat availability, tickets from these domestic cities to Gatwick start at N965,500 to N975,500 for economy class and N2.38 million for business class for travel during the promotional period, which begins on March 22.
Continuing, to provide Nigerians with more accessible and reasonably priced international travel options, Air Peace opened its Lagos-London service on March 30, 2024. The airline offered extremely affordable fares when it first launched, with economy class tickets starting at N1.2 million, significantly less than the N3–5 million usually charged by international airlines. The business class rates, which were N4.5 million, provided an affordable option for high-end travel without sacrificing quality. For its Lagos-Gatwick route, Air Peace increased connectivity in April 2024, enabling travellers from Abuja, Asaba, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, and Port Harcourt to connect in Lagos before departing for London.
Allen Onyema, the CEO of Air Peace, made the announcement after pointing out that other airlines operating the same route had drastically lowered their rates in reaction to the airline’s arrival.
According to reports available to BrandSpur national news desk, some rivals lowered their prices below Air Peace’s in an apparent attempt to undercut the airline and curtail its expanding market share. To facilitate international travel, the airline expanded its service by December 2024 to accommodate passengers from Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri, Anambra State. This allowed more travellers from the southeast to connect to London via Lagos.
