Truecaller Hits Above 450 Million Monthly Users In April

As of April 1, there were more than 450 million monthly active users of Truecaller, and with 15.5 million new users since the beginning of 2025, the company has added 50 million users in the last ten months.

Though its fastest-growing markets are now outside of India, caller ID and spam-blocking software has long been at the forefront in that country, BrandSpur digital news platform reports.

CEO, Rishit Jhunjhunwala attested to this modification, stating: “As before, we continue to see steady growth in our largest market, India, but the fastest relative growth is in markets outside of India. So far in 2025, we see strong growth trends in Latin America, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Malaysia, and the U.S., to mention a few markets.”

With its own caller ID system being developed by cell carriers, India, Truecaller’s largest market, might challenge the company’s leadership position. However, the business is committed to enhancing its capabilities beyond simple caller recognition, incorporating call recording, transcription, and an AI-powered call screening aid.

Truecaller maintained an average of 429.4 million active users each month and achieved solid financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024. Year-over-year, net sales increased by 23% and profit after taxes increased by 29%. The company addressed earlier limits brought on by Apple’s operating system restrictions earlier this year by enhancing its iOS capability. Its live caller ID function was much more effective on Android devices than on iPhones before the update.
