At the 2025 AMVCA Cultural Day, which took place at the esteemed Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Big Brother Naija alums Liquorose and Prince Enwerem stole the show on Friday by winning Best Dressed Female and Male, respectively.
The reality stars’ striking traditional clothing, which openly displayed Nigerian culture, enchanted the audience as well as fans at home. Liquorose dazzled in an extravagant, beaded costume that exuded royalty and craftsmanship, replete with coral accessories and a tiara.
At the AMVCA 2025 Cultural Day, Prince, who is renowned for his sense of style and was once Mr. Nigeria, attracted attention with an embroidered royal ensemble that was accentuated with vintage-inspired accessories that honoured his royal heritage. Neo and Venita Akpofure, two formidable competitors who also made striking cultural statements with their attire, were defeated by them.
Prince and Liquorose each received a N1 million cash prize from Goldberg for winning. The AMVCA ceremony will be televised live on all Africa Magic stations from Lagos, Nigeria.
Best Writing TV Series, Best Documentary, Best MultiChoice Talent Factory, Best Scripted Series, Best Digital Content Creator, Best Unscripted M-Net Original, and other categories are among the nominees for the 11th edition of the AMVCA, which was announced on Sunday, March 23. The nominations honour works published between January 1 and December 31, 2024, and include film, television, and digital content.
Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way were among the leading candidates and received numerous nominations in several categories, including Best Director and Best Film.
Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Stan Nze (Suspicion), Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising) were nominated for Best Lead Actor in the acting categories, while Uche Montana (Thinline), Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre), and Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors) are competing for Best Lead Actress, BrandSpur entertainment and lifestyle news desk report.
